Fall is coming and instead of firsts, there are lasts. This is the last sunflower on this plant. Soon, it to will be gone and fall will be here. I'm excited about fall this year. Usually, the fall experience is marred by the knowledge that winter is coming soon. Then when winter comes, I enjoy winter, too.
It's difficult to see in the picture, but the leaves on the tree to the left have almost all changed. It's one of those gray fall days I love.
I've been watching the temperatures around the country and at least this year, the temperatures in the northwest are colder than those in the north east. It makes sense as the cold weather tends to descend from the northwest and move east at the same time. I'll watch this to see if my observation is correct.
If the observation is correct, it means that going clockwise around the route may be better than counter-clockwise, at least for temperatures. I'll wait to see when the snow flies.
