I took a look at the expected temperatures for tomorrow. The coolest time is between 4 am and 7 am. If a person is trying to get the 23 miles for real-hiking, the best time is between about 1 am and 8 am. After 8am, the temperature starts to rise rapidly. Although this gets the real-hiker through the hiking part, what do they do during the day to survive the heat? I suggest the air conditioned support vehicle for now. Until I try staying out all day in these temperatures, I don't have another answer.
