OK, I'll admit it. After 15 miles yesterday, I woke up tired. It is the type of tired where everything in my body is tired, but nothing is sore. It should disappear after a short distance.

So, I laced on my Danner combat boots and I'm off for a short walk. I'll see how the theory works. I'm hungry, too. Breakfast will come after a bit of a walk. See you in a bit....

Ah, just as I expected. After about 1/8 mile I warmed up and the tiredness was gone. My feet wanted to go a lot longer. But my way at home is shorter walks to get the miles in.

First breakfast is a tortilla, peanut butter, granola, raisins, and sunflower seeds.

I find eating a lot of small meals and nutritious snacks during the day works well for me. It seems to give an even flow of energy. A snack or quick meal on the trail can be a good reason to spend a little extra time in a nice spot. I don't like pictures that looked like I sat for awhile enjoying the view when I know I just posed long enough to take the picture.

There were 3 kites in the tree at the park.

I went down to the gazebo in the park to cook oatmeal and fixin's for second breakfast. I took a video because I wanted to see how much fuel it took with the stove. The video will not load for some reason. It took 9 grams.

I finished up with a walk to Walking Stick golf course. The clubs thunk like a metal baseball bat now. Remember when woods used to be made of wood?

It would be a nice day to put in some extra miles. But I did that the last two days. So instead, I think I will take a nap.
